Landed

My plane touched down this morning at around 8am, still 2am back in the U.S. Luckily, I had the two seats next to me left empty for the long flight, but still didn't sleep at all. So currently I've been up for around 26 hours straight...yum. Everyone is sort of delirious and constantly asks for your name again, since no one has the attention span to listen to it the first time right now.

A big group of us went off for lunch in Madrid and looked like the worst kind of American tourists. The other kids were stopping in the sidewalk, taking pictures of the tall buildings, and crossing the road at all the wrong times. Not gonna lie, I was a little embarrased by the group and all the glares from the Spaniards. Apparently there is no such thing as free water in Europe, which was a shocker, so our entire table decided to argue with our waiter until he decided to bring us a pitcher instead of bottles (not sure how smart it was to drink from the tap on our first day). In general, I'd say we're off to a shaky start when it comes to being respectful of those who actually live here, but hopefully we'll split into smaller groups as the time goes by and get a hang of what's okay and what's not.

Anywho, we're about to walk around the city a little before we have a group dinner, then hopefully I can go straight to bed! I've been told all day what a lovely shade of red my eyes are.

Not sure the next time I'll have internet, but hopefully it's soon!
